There isn't really much to tell here. I wanted to see if a simple iconic symbol could be put into clay and made somewhat durable. Small scale was easy and it inspires me to try something bigger! What will definitely be different next time is the crossing of the threads. I believe a smoother up/down change will be more pleasing to the eye. In uniform grey clay it didn't look this blocky.

Material Premixed mortar, black acrylic wash, bronze enamel
1 layer of clear satin varnish
