New Hope

A weird dream

Background
Broad daylight in a sandy desert with no apparent life anywhere. As I was floating around in the heat -as one does in a dream(?)- and suddenly a huge dead tree appeared in front of me. At first it was a rather sad sight but not unexpected given the circumstances however upon closer inspection higher up I spotted a bird's nest with a single bright white egg in it. This little egg was protected from the scorching sun by a single little green leaf that was growing above the nest on a very skinny branch. Then I noticed under the nest in the sand there were a couple or 3 blades of grass growing.

In the morning I woke up feeling really hopeful. No matter how bad things get there's always Hope.
